A structural calculation explains how a proposed load-carrying arrangement responds to loads. It relates to particular assumptions, dimensions and materials. Without the associated design information, the calculation does not fully describe what is intended to be built.

For an opening or extension, ask which configuration was assessed and what was assumed about existing components. Changes to the opening, material or supports may affect that assessment. Keep calculations and drawings together as a coordinated version. Information transfer to the contractor also matters: the installer needs the relevant details and dimensions.
Temporary construction conditions require separate coordination where they are not addressed by those documents. A general statement that work has been calculated does not identify who verifies missing information or reassesses changes. Record the responsible role and the inputs still needed before the proposal becomes an instruction for construction.
